Hockessin Hash #1006
So the slobbering pack gathered up at the Pencader Shopping center on 72 and 4 on the fine crisp afternoon of December the 7th, 2013 AD.  Hashers I remember being present: Dead End, Dirty Wet Pussy, Stungun, Mary Fucking Poppins, Spunk Monkey, Just TJ, Devil Woman, Toxic Shock, Beeper, Cousin It, Bunions Bitch, Asshopper, Hornblower, Subpeonis, Lost Penis, Tits of Steel, The International House of Virgins, Kum On Inn, Just Meghan, Just Jessica, Just Keelee, and many, many others.
For our hare we had the mysterious, Blue Hen hashus Interruptus Vaseline Alley, who got roped into haring, after having not done it for about 10 years.  We did our chalk talk in the briskest of winds. After being informed that this was going to be an A to B trail, Asshopper and Stungun were the first of many to go home before the hash was over and before we were off.
On! On!
We went down Route 72 towards Bear/ Glasgow until we got to the I-95 Bridge where we were greeted with a Check Back 15, though I barely counted 12 marks. Bunions Bitch and Hornblower picked up trail across the street, found a check and a false trail in the small patch of trees, before finding the First beer near at the Bus stop, and some old-recycled porn lying on the ground.  We enjoyed our brews and our porn for a few, and this gave some of our late cummers an opportunity to catch up, before we went on the rest of this shitty trail.
On! On!
Trail went down Rt 4/ Chestnut hill Road, before going across the street to Brookside, then banging a left back in the direction we started in.  We found marks going behind the Wawa, and then across Library Avenue towards that ancient building that houses the Nationwide Insurance Company.  And here we found the second of our beer nears.  And so we enjoyed our brews for a few more minutes.
On! On!
We followed an arrow ... And then mass confusion. Many of us went this way and that and back and forth for a whiles before somebody found another mark way down the road in the general direction … of … what do you know … the way the arrow was pointing.  I think it was around this time we lost Bunions Bitch, and Just Jessica.
On! On!
Trail went through the U of D Ag center, then out onto South College Avenue where we went over the railroad bridge and down onto the James F. Hall trail. The marks took us almost to the end of that 1.76 mile trail to the Apple Road cul-du Sac where we found our hare for the 3rd Beer near. And we enjoyed our brews shivering for a few yet again as the sun quickly went down. At this point we lost Toxic Shock, and a few other people.
On! On!
We went out to the intersection of West Park Place and Apple Road then found a check. And…no trail going in any direction. And so we ran around again like chickens with no heads, until our hare pulled up in his BMW and motioned us in the direction of the Sunoco Station on Elkton Road….I mean South Main Street.
On! On!
We ran down towards the direction of Main Street for a few feet, until trail took us across the road and over to the Green Turtle about 5 miles from where we started for the On In.  With our hare being out of practice for a few years, we were a bit confused about what to do without our cars our money, our  ID’s, and the hasher with the money having no idea where we were and no proper places to circle.
After a great deal of bitching, and a few phone calls, we made do with what we had.  And so we circled up in plain view of the police station on the other side of the road, for most of the NPD were down on Main Street for the annual winter fest festival.  Awards and Penalties were dished out.  Songs were sung.  We did some car juggling for a while and talked our waitress into serving us and got a little less than half of our original pack back for the Apres where we enjoyed some nachos and some wings to go along with our brews.
All and All it was another shitty trail.
Stay tuned for Hockessin Hash #1007, the Christmas hash, this Saturday.
On! On!
