Hash Trash for Hockessin Hash #1232
So the slobbering pack gathered up on the far end of Polly Drummond Hill shopping center on the fine sunny, late Winter afternoon of March the 10th, 2018 AD.  Hashers I remember being present at some point: Mount Me, Cousin It, Do Me On the Beach, NecrofFeelMeUp, PubeHeAteHer, Dead End, Mary Fucking Poppins, Wishboneher, Just Corey, Just Christie, Woody, Orgy Porgy Put N’ Pie, Asshopper, Wetter the Better, Devil Woman, Hare Today Cum Tomorrow, Wishboneher, Big Left Tit, Dirty Wet Pussy, F-6, RaidR, Biotch, Spitbucket, Up the Rear, Tits of Steel, and many, many others.
Our hares of the day were Weird Al and Bumpy Beaver, with the trail being laid in honor of Bumpy’s birthday, and with both pointing the finger at the other about whose fault the following rather confusing trail was.  As many of us were still not quite over the great adventure Dancing Fool had led us on the Saturday before, our RA for the day Wishboneher decided to run the circle that was skipped for the hash last week, with poor Cousin It having to take the brunt of the packs criticism for the trail that his absent co-hare was for the most part responsible.  After the belated circle was closed we then moved onto the chalk talk, where Bumpy Beaver explained the marks to us, all in orange colored flour, including the arrow, which was pointing in the opposite direction of where we were intended to go.  We were also informed that false trails were not marked, so if we saw one mark after a check, that was the direction that true trail was to be in.  And this helped out quite a bit in getting most of the pack following the trail backwards and out of order.
On! On!We went in the opposite direction that the arrow pointed in. We ran down the road and up a hill for a while finding a mark here and there, and at some point soon after the FRB’s found marks going one direction, when we were meant to go in another.
On! On!Soon after we found a Beer Near mark, that looked like someone had attempted to smear it over.  As there was no beer currently present, most of those who actually look for marks concluded that the hares had changed their minds about whether this was going to be the beer stop.
On! On!We we found a few marks down the road and then an arrow pointing in the direction we came in.  Getting the hint most of us did not and so we went on following a long leg of trail backwards, with some or most of the walkers obliviously following us.
On! On!We went down a hill and found the first check, with true backwards trail going to the left.  Down the road we went until we came across Bumpy Beaver sweeping with Cousin It, and she informed us to go back to that park, where we saw the BN initially.
On! On!We made our way back several different ways until we got back to the park, where we found the belated Weird Al, and his truck with the beer.  And so we enjoyed a few fine PBR’s while we bitched at the hares for messing everything up, even though everybody got there, in short time and got a beer.  After we were done sipping our brews Weird pointed us in the general direction and back on trail we went.
On! On!We took a left into a neighborhood, up and down a hill we went before coming out to New Linden Hill Road where we took a right.  Up the hill we went and then back into Polly Drummond Hill shopping center with Orgy Porgy taking the dishonor of being first in this time.
One by one by two by three the pack straggled back in with Tits of Steel and DWP taking the honor of finishing last. Soon enough down-down beers were poured and our RA for the day Wishboneher opened the circle ceremony.  Awards and penalties were dished out.  Songs were sung.  Down Downs were done.  Our hares drank several times for trail and for a birthday.  The first in and last in drank.  As did our interruptus.  Our RA and our GM did down-downs for bitching though they were hardly the only hashers guilty of that lately.  Along with RaidR and Biotch, for actually making it to the beer stop on their bikes this time.
After announcements were made, circle was closed, and we adjourned to Famous Tim’s on the other side of the shopping center, where we were joined by an auto-hasher or two and where we had to wait a few extra minutes for a tardy bartender to arrive.  And there we enjoyed some interesting colored hot dogs, some fine mac and cheese and some tasty salad, along with some tasty birthday cake in honor of Bumpy’s birthday.
But all and all it was another shitty trail. Stay tuned for Hockessin Hash #1233 the Green Dress Run this Saturday. On! On!MFP
