The Park is just seven miles north of the crossroads Village of Hockessin. This is a rustic park, undeveloped and still in the planning stage, just ripe for some virgin Hash terrain. Let's get in there before the dark forces of "Big Parks & Recreation" get ahold of this tract to strip the fertile farmland and replace it with even more fertile gardens, parkland & ball fields. Swings and monkeybars, too, I hope. D'erections: Google Map the address 650 Wickerton Road, West Grove, PA, 19390 or try to follow these instructions. From Newark - Leave the Deerpark Tavern & travel north on Rt. 896 into Pennsylvania. Seven miles from the Deerpark, turn right onto Rt. 841 northbound. Stay on Rt 841 (variously called Chesterville/Lewisville/Wickerton Road) for about 4.5 miles and turn left into the gravel & grass parking area of the London Grove Township Community Park. Park. Hash. From the North - Get on US Route 1and travel toward West Grove, Pennsylvania. Get off Route 1 at the PA Rt. 841 exit and follow signs to West Grove. Stay on Rt. 841 southbound (variously called Chatham/Prospect/Wickerton Road) for about 2 miles and turn right into the gravel & grass parking area of the London Grove Township Community Park. Park. Hash. From Wilmington @ Centre Road & Lancaster Pike - travel north on Lancaster Pike (Rt. 48) for 5.5 miles to the Village of Hockessin. From Wilmington @ Kirkwood Highway & Newport-Gap Pike - travel north on Newport-Gap Pike (Rt. 41) for 5.1 miles to the Village of Hockessin. Then follow directions: From the Village of Hockessin - travel north on Rt. 41 for 2.8 miles (crossing into Pennsylvania) and turn left onto Starr Road just past the Gore Associates New Garden Site. Continue on Starr Road for 2 miles (Garden Station Road turns into Ellicot Road at a sharp curve to the right @ 1.9 miles) and at the third STOP SIGN turn left onto Garden Station Road. Take Garden Station Road for 1.8 miles to a STOP SIGN and turn left onto East Avondale Road. Go through one STOP SIGN and at the second STOP SIGN turn right onto Wickerton Road (Rt. 841).
