|What: Hockessin Hash # 694,The Hump New Years Hash,|
When: Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 3pm
Where: Talley Day Park, Brandywine Hundred/North Wilmington
What to Bring: Bring some warm clothes and perhaps a chair. Bring your finest New Years adornments and kazoos. Apres may be outside, possibly in the parking lot. Come enjoy the warm winter weather and the lengthening daylight hours this Saturday afternoon, high of 54 per KYW news radio. Crib lives for this kind of old time hash celebrated in the great outdoors. Bring your hash mug too.
Why: We are over the hump of the shortest day of the year and today we'll pass the 1/3 mark of the heating season. Besides, every day is a good day to hump, just ask Toby.
On After: Timothy's on the Wilmington waterfront, hopefully with some hash pitchers. But alas we need approval from hash cash. I wanted to go to the old Buggy, but alas its replacement, whose name I have forgotten, has closed.
D'erections: Take I 95 to Concord Pike/Route 202 North, to Faulk Road/Rt. 261 North about 3 miles, bear right into Talley Day Park, 1300 Faulk Rd., drive to rear and park. Talley Day Park shares an entrance with a New Castle County Library, drive past the library entrance and look for hashers.
