When: Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 6:30pm,
Where: SuperFresh, Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE
Who: Bitchard (don't panic, this hash is short, and can be walked, biked or even, dare I say, auto-hashed)
D'erections: Heading north on I-95, passing Wilmington, take Exit 10, marked Harvey Road (the exit after Marsh Road and before Naamans Road). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Harvey Road, go 0.8 miles to Philadelphia Pike, turn right onto the Pike, and SuperFresh is 0.4 miles on your right. Turn into the parking lot, and immediately right, parking near the main road. Heading into Delaware from Pennsylvania on I-95 South, you cannot exit at Harvey Road, so don't even try. Instead, take the I-495 split at the DE/PA border marked to Baltimore, then exit I495 in one mile, at the first exit, #5, marked Route 13 Phila Pike/Claymont. Turn right (south) onto the Pike, keep on this road (which becomes Route 13S Business) for 1.6 miles, and SuperFresh is on your right.
NOTE: Hash cash will be $7.00 with a $2 discount if you have paid dues to Dead End.

On a dreadfully humid eve, for which northern Delaware is infamous, a huge turnout of almost 50 confused hounds of the H4 collected at the Super Fresh parking lot on rte. 13. Our hare, Bitcharcd, unveiled a diabolical plan for the hapless mob assembled. This was not to be your ordinary Hash. No way! Bitchard does weird shit like that. About seven years ago his twisted mind engineered a murder-mystery Hash replete with clues, bodies, and blood (for which they're now blaming that Peterson schmuck). As it was then, it is now since both bizarre hashes were powered by printed clues instead of flour spots. It was something like a dumbass treasure hunt or a mismanaged orienteering event where the hounds had to use at least half their wits to stay on trail. Since most of us are half-wits anyway, this wasn't too hard. The randy hounds were off and running with instructions to find some "spotted dick." For those unaware of a British twinkie that bears that name, it was a revolting prospect. Y'know, like looking for a grossly diseased penis. However, the world travelers among us knew that "spotted dick" is a pastry confection that might be found among the Tastykakes at the Super Fresh. We did indeed solve mystery number one and we got the printed clue that directed us a mile west to Dreamer's Café. Assfault and concrete all the way on rte.13. Then another printed clue leading us east for 3 km until we got to rogue's Den and a short hop to Blizzard Beach where we lined up for a refreshing water-ice. And then the new clue took us again for over a mile to Station 13 and the Super Video Station—unless you were a Short Cutting Bastard who lopped off a half mile in a direct return to the parking lot ON IN. With a threatening rainstorm holding off, we circled up for the reverential services performed by our RA. Down-downs galore: our furry hare, a virgin sacrificed, a martyr who was baptized with a Hash name, and Pedalphile who did a down-down while wearing a hat, a runner's T-shirt, and new sneakers. That's just great if you love beer and enjoy drinking it out of stinky sneakers. When hashing finally becomes an Olympic sport (with spelling modified to "A Limp Dick" sport) this will clearly stand as a record for a long time. Upon completion of the High Church ceremony, we drove a short way to a fancy saloon for a fine Apres of veggie dips, chips, salads and a great spread of open- faced hoagies—all properly washed down with copious pitchers of beer. No shiggy, no mud, none of mother nature's many parasites, but it was a cool Hash.
