WHAT: Hash # 496 - "In which the H4 Hounds Embark Upon a Late Winter's Journey into the Valley of the Beaver" WHEN: Saturday March 6th, 2004 @ 3:00 pm WHERE: Woodlawn Wildlife Preserve (on the Brandywine near Smith Bridge) WHO: Bunion Butt & Crash Test Dummy WHY: The skunk cabbage is starting to come up!! DIRECTIONS: From I-95 : Take the Concord Pike (Rt. 202 north) exit toward West Chester. Stay on Rt. 202 north about 4.5 miles to Naaman's Road ( Rt. 92 ) Turn left on Rt. 92 which is now called Beaver Valley Road. Stay on Beaver Valley Rd. for about 1.5 miles to a stop sign. Go straight through the stop sign onto Beaver Dam Road. Continue for about 0.5 miles to another stop sign. Turn left onto Creek Road, then immediately turn right into the parking lot. Prepare to Hash. From Pennsylvania Rt. 1: Get to Chadds Ford and then take Rt. 100 south for about 3.5 miles into Delaware. At a stop sign, turn left onto Smith Bridge Road, go another 1.25 miles. Cross the red covered bridge and make an immediate right onto Creek Road. Go another 0.25 miles, turn right into the parking lot. Prepare to Hash. The trail is very, very dog friendly, having been partially laid by one. Other than crossing three roads, we will avoid all asphalt. | Hashers |
