Hockessin HHH - Hash Trash For Saturday March 25, 2000 Spring Has Sprung Hash - Run # 277 It was the first week of Spring and on this beautiful afternoon about 25 hounds of the somewhat less than couth H4 collected at Swift Park in the Red Light district of HoKissin, DE. Our mystery hares, Crib Snatcher and Woodpecker, got the tawdry show on the road before 3:30 PM and the massed hounds, bursting with a remarkable lack of enthusiasm, moved in slow-motion over some ass-fault toward the shiggy covered hills yonder. It started out with a long climb in the woods. We radiated the verve and panache of a bleary-eyed pack of beer-belly neutered hounds that included: Hot Pants, Slutmaster, Groper, Buffy, Pigshit, Blow Behind, Lick it Clean, Roadkill, Devil Woman, Rubber, Fly Girl, Rubber, What About Bob, Gomez, Christine, Butthead, Make Me an Offer, Digital Dick, Himalaya, Bumper Humper, Queer Balls and a jolly lass we could call "Beer Stop Trish". Most of the trail was richly endowed with miserable thorns that got all of us ripped and bleeding. Fortunately, we had three beer stops to help us deal with the pain. After the first stop, we took off again through a huge patch of burrs that attached themselves to our sox, pants, and private parts. It was ON ON over marshy fields, endless stands of bad-ass thorns, a couple of water crossings, and a long trek along the obligatory railroad tracks until the next beer stop. Through the woods and over a fence and we made it to the final beer stop before the last stretch of ass-fault brought us to Ozzie's Lighthouse Grille, a quarter mile from our cars and an hour after we started. We circled up outside Ozzie's for our Religious Ceremony mismanaged in a typically reverential Hash spirit by Beeper. The hares got their due, as well as some hashus interrupti, notably Weird Al and Fugitive. Our weekly disgrace was topped off with a fine buffet provided by Ozzie's Grille which included steamed clams, onion rings, chicken fingers, Buffalo wings, fried clams, mushrooms, and rice, while our hares provided some fine brew. It was indeed a tasty Apres---a neat finish to a good Hash over a shitty trail | |
