TRASH #235
A gigantic group showed up at Smegma, I mean, Smedley Park, looking forward to our hash, hosted by none other than Toxic Shock and Himalaya. Included a bunch of Philly hashers. Feeble brain cells remember the following hounds being there: Analist, Beeper, Bunion Butt, Butthead, Deadhead, Country Sausage, Slutmaster, Cribsnatcher, Devil Woman, Do Me, Gomez, Groper, Roadkill, Mad Hatter, Hornblower, Stun Gun, Gay Blade, Swamp Bitch, Flygirl, Woody, Rambo, Marsha, Alotta Fagina, Make Me An Offer, and a bunch of Philly Hashers. Devil Woman’s friend Fred. Plus some other people probably. Not to mention Terri (Gay Blade’s sister), now named ‘Up the Rear’ (or something like that) and a Philly hasher named Karen who also got a name - what was it? But who really gives a shit about this stuff? Let’s get on the trail!
The trail, ah, the trail. A veritable twisting, turning, long one, which started off inauspiciously on ASS-FAULT! And, no sooner had we finally found some flour did we have a water crossing!
We wound around on dirt trails, mulch trails, sawdust trails. Up hill and down. Slipping on loose rocks, leaves and mulch. Through parking lots. Over waterfalls. Over overpasses over the Blue Route. Around classy buildings. Confounding other park goers. Starting to get thirsty ...
Ah ... the beer stop. Swarthmore College.
A brief respite before we took off again, impolitely not waiting for those who still had not yet reached the beer stop. Sweaty, tired, but motivated to keep on. A diversion through Swarthmore - is it or is it not a coed college?
A few more bends, a few more paths, a bit more ASS-FAULT and then greeted by the larger-than-life War Memorial at the park’s entrance (too busy to notice it when I drove in). ON-IN dodging cars across Baltimore Pike.
Then a wonderful food-filled, pool-filled, yard-filled apres at the home of Himalaya. Down-downs administered to violators, cherries, namings. A memorial down-down for Blow Harder, a good friend and hasher remembered.
What more can I say?
