It's a Potluck Party – so bring a dish and/or a beverage to celebrate the last day of 2016 and the first day of 2017. What Else: Crash Space Available! Hot Tub will be open! D'erections: From I-95, take exit 3 (273 W) toward Newark. Go approximately 4 miles and turn right onto Capitol Trail/Rt.2/Kirkwood Hwy. Take the (quick) 1st left onto E Cleveland Ave. Go 1.2 miles and turn right onto New London Rd. (896 N). Turn left at the light onto Country Club Dr. Turn right into the shopping center parking lot. | Trash for Hockessin Hash #1169 So the slobbering pack gathered up at the pad of our GM and Joint Master on New London Rd for the New Years Eve hash at the special time of 7pm. Hashers I remember being present at some point for the trail: Bunion Butt, Wet Lay, Chasez Boyz, Mary Fucking Poppins, Woody, Cousin It w/Famous Jack, Pickle Dick, Tinsel Tits, Wishboneher, Hare Today Cum Tomorrow, Runner Girl, and a bunch of others too lazy to do the evening trail like Miss Piss, Do Me on the Beach, Circle Jerk, Magic Carpet Ride, Butt Lite, Digital Dick, The International House of Virgins, Tits of Steel and many, many others. Our hares and hosts of the evening were our usual PubeHeAteHer, who lost his voice, and NecroFeelMeUp. After hanging out in the nice warm house for a few beers, our RA for the night Wishboneher herded the hashers across the street in front of where the PNC bank used to be for the chalk talk. We were informed by our hares, or at least the one that still had her voice, that there would be marks in flour and several colors of chalk, a check back or two, a song check, a beer stop and a champagne stop that we hoped to find with our flashlights, headlamps or night vision goggles. And so soon enough we were off as it was not warm and windy. On! On!We found marks going off towards Fairfield Park, then a check, that everyone guessed wrong, except yours truly but only after our sweeping hare PubeHeAteHer began sauntering in that direction. Marks went out behind the shopping center to country club drive where we found another check. On! On!Trail went down to the Fairfield Crest, where we found an awfully long false going into the community pool parking lot, and then went down into where the power lines are and picked up the path that goes by the ROTC obstacle. I have been through here on many a hashes but not many at night. We found another check, then true trail through some shiggy, which is real fun at night, and then down to Creek Rd. Where there was another check yours truly finds a false going in the direction of Pennsylvania and a couple of FRB's like Woody, Runner Girl, and Wishboneher find the true trail eventually going down the Pomeroy Path. On! On!We follow the path out to North College Avenue where we intersected with a lost Tinsle Tits, then went down North street then out to that other street then eventually onto Cleveland, though this required the hints of the hare more than once as marks are hard enough for this pack to detect even when the sun is out. On! On!We find a check at the intersection of Chapel Street then true trail then the song check. Our RA Wishboneher led us in a half-hearted version of the “My Name is Jack” song. And we were joined in the middle of that by our other hare, NecroFeelMeUp. Who indicated that trail went in the direction of her car parked in Newark Shopping Center for the Champagne stop. And so we enjoyed the finest Andre champagne with a choice of plain, strawberry and peach, and managed not to get in any trouble while doing that there somehow. On! On!Trail went one way or another to Main street and down it and across it and back across it till we found the beer near at one of our favorite Newark dives, Catherine Rooneys. And after a car was found for the canines to squat in for a while, we enjoyed some brews and some pretzels for a few. Eventually we went back out to the Main Street East, as it is now called. Except Hare Today Cum Tomorrow who decided to auto hash with Pube for the last part. On! On!True trail went through campus down back to North College and down to Ray Street, then through campus some more, past the towers and Pencader dining hall before going back on New London Rd back to point A. The majority of the pack decided to make their journey longer by walking all the way down main street before taking a right on New London back to point A. Only a few of us, at the behest of NecroFeelMeUp followed true trail all the way through. But so we all soon enough got back there as we circled up and were joined one by two by three by the lazy autohashers. Our RA Wishboneher opened up circle. Awards and penalties were dished out. Songs were sung. Down-Downs were done. Those of us who followed trail drank. As did those who didn't as did those who didn't even start. After announcements were made Woody closed the circle properly for the first time in a while and the hash went in peace. After circle we enjoyed many, many wonderful things, like tortellinis and meatballs, chilli, mozzarella sticks, chicken nuggets, shrimp, spiked punch, pudding shots, plenty of beer including Cousin Its home brew, a hot tub, and ... oh yeah a New Years Eve party, as most of us managed to last to see the ball drop and did an Andre' toast to surviving the year of 2016.
