Trash for Hockessin Hash #1282
So the slobbering pack gathered up along side the former Famous Jacks Tavern on Naamans Rd on the fine late winter afternoon of Saturday February the 16th, 2019 AD for the semi-Valentines Day-themed hash.
Hashers I remember being present at some point: Lost Penis, Papsmear, NecroFeelMeUp, PubeHeAteHer, Dead End, Do Me on the Beach, Magic Carpet Ride, Groper, Toxic Shock, Smells Like Hash Spirit, The International House of Virgins, Mary Fucking Poppins, Woody, Cousin It, Wet Lay, Bunion Butt, Slutmaster, Mount Me (later), Up Piss Creek (a little later than that), and many, many others.
Our hare of the day was Skidmarks, who had all kinds of mischief planned for us.
So we hung in the lot for a while enjoying the sunlight for the first time in a few months, sipping some brews, until our RA for the day, Woody, wrangled us up for the chalk talk.  Which was slightly more than less complicated.
Our hare explained for us that there was to be a Turkey/Eagle split, and some trespassing with permission involved,  Along with a number on a mail box that was to be of great significance to us..  There would also be dick checks and tit checks, photo stops, a place for the turkeys that they would be absolutely forbidden to run through in case any of them would ever, ever be tempted to do that, a place where the highest point in Delaware was, two beer stops which would be marked first BN then BVN and lots and lots of J-checks.  There were two different versions of the arrow mark to look out for, and since both of them pointed out to Naamans Rd, thats where we headed out to.
On! On!
The FRB’s found marks going to the left down Naamans Rd, then across the street into the front parking lot of the Brandywine Town center.  The Turkey/Eagle Split was soon found.  While the eagle trail took the FRB’s around and down RT. 202, the Turkeys got to have all the fun that time by following trail through a furniture store.
On! On!
The two trails eventually merged together behind the town center and we followed marks for a little while that took us past a parking where we saw Dead End and the BN mark then into a community park for the neighborhood next door where we found the BVR mark and a cooler of brews that we briefly enjoyed through the howling wind.  Soon enough we were off again.
On! On!
Trail took us down a road called Derby Way, named after the old race track where I understand Do Me used to work as a waitress.  The FRB’s found the arrow pointed through somebody’s yard at 420 Derby Way. Ha! Ha!, this being the number we used to work at.  Turns out one of the kids living there used to be one of Pube’s students.
On! On!
We went through the friendly peoples yard and spent a few long minutes traversing many water crossings in the woods behind.  As there were many puddles and much mud.  Trail went up the hill to the manufactured home development where there was another Turkey/Eagle split, with Necro being the only person who chose the eagle option that time.  Pube found the first J-check and had to hurry on to the back.  Trail took us near the big radio tower where we found the photo-Opt mark, as is turns out, this being just a few yards away from the highest point in Delaware.  Which is only a few yards away from Pennsylvania.  Some folks bothered to take a picture.
On! On!
Trail took us out to Ebright Road for a bit, then took a right into a parking lot that turned out to be the parking lot for the Hideaway Lounge, a place this hash once frequented more often.  Thank goodness there was also a beer near mark here, and Dead Ends car.
And so we enjoyed some brews in a climate controlled environment.  So we took our time more at this beer stop, and enjoyed watching a re-run of a hockey game played earlier that afternoon.  Our hare warned us there would be many more J-checks coming up.  A warning few heeded.  So off again we went.
On! On!
Some of us walked, then ran, then walked again.  Many folks, like Wet Lay, who wouldn’t normally be the first to encounter a J-check, encountered one for the first time.  Trail went back down Naamans Road until it took us damn close to point A, then went across the street and down the back alley way behind Jacks Tavern.
One by one by two the hashers straggled back in.  The bar wasn’t unlocked yet, so the area behind the dumpster served as a restroom for a few of us.  Until our RA Woody wrangled us up for circle.
Awards and Penalties were dished out. Songs were sung.  Down-Downs were done.  The hare drank, only once I think.  Papsmear drank for being a visitor.  There weren’t too many interruptus present at that point.  So all the folks who admitted to drinking from a J-check got a down-down.  Soon enough announcements were made and the hash went in peace.
After circle we adjourned into Jacks Tavern where we were eventually joined by the late cumming Mount Me, the only Karen present that day, and Up Piss Creek.  Here we enjoyed some more brews and a fine spread of pulled chicken, vegetarian chili, cornbread, and Caesar salad amongst other things.  And a fine time was had.
Stay tuned for Hockessin Hash #1283, hared by yours truly in Asstoric Pencader Hundred, this cumming Saturday.
On! On!
