What: Hash Trail: Wherefore art thou, trail? Hares: Cherry Garcia, Butthead (El Butto, Usted, Bad Lay) Why: E A N E Y, nevermind, bad song idea Huh? Well, ah, because, cause I found a natural space amongst the massive and ever expanding pavement that is New Castle County....of course, it is scheduled for construction, which is already underway. So, we need to hurry up and hash there. Mission: Seek out the urban wilderness, find trail, consume beer. When: Wednesday, June 19, 6:30 PM How: 2 feet recommended. 4 feet optional, but may be difficult for climbing over obstacles. No feet, well, you won't be able to follow trail in the strict sense, but you can be guided around, supposing you find a friendly hare. Slow feet, Turkey/walker's trail could be made available, let a here know by Wednesday afternoon if you would like one (georgej@...). Fast Feet, well, we'll keep you honest so as you might not lose the rest of the pack. Where: I thought you'd never ask. Why: Cause its Wednesday night, and you need punishment and a beer. Or several beers. Well, after this trail, lots of beer. Dammit: You meant why where?? Where why??? Or ahhh, or just where!? Yes: OK From points North or South, Take I95 to the Churchman's Exit, Route 7 North. Elsewhere, get to I95 and follow above, or take Rt 7, get between Stanton and Metroform, and follow directions below. From 95, Take Rt 7 past the AAA and J.P. Morgan, and turn right into Stanton Industrial Park, (Location of old Lowe's, now Shone's lumber is down there). If you get to Delaware Park entrance, turn around and find Stanton Industrial park. Park and Hash in front of the NCC football and chearleading center. Park out of the way near the front. Hash is A-B, bring a dry bag. Shiggy scale: 1 being low, 10 being evil....a 7. Poison ivy: frequent. Bugs: spray is recommended, deer trails are known to have ticks. Bikes: hash trail per se is not friendly, but I can arrange for bypasses if requested, or an alternate walker's trail if requested. Probably too many obstacles for dogs, but I can advise on a bypass for the worst one. On On, Butthead | Hashers |
