D'erections: From I-95, take the Rt. 896 N/Newark exit, stay right, and at the 2nd light go through intersection, and take the immediate right onto the jug handle to cross over to West Chestnut Hill Rd. Go over the bridge, and take the first right into Rittenhouse Park. | Trash for Hockessin Hash #1170 So, Hockessin Hash #1170 So the slobbering pack gathered up at Rittenhouse park on the snowy, windy afternoon of January the 7th, 2017 AD. Wondering we did why on this day the park was the preferred location of so many other people who weren't out there for the hash. Hashers I remember being present: Bunion Butt, WetLay, Dead End, Dirty Wet Pussy, Dirty Little Pumper, Mary Fucking Poppins, PubeHeAteHer, NecroFeelMeUp, Bunions Bitch, Groper, Cousin It, Do Me on the Beach, Magic Carpet Ride, Smells Like Hash Spirit, and many, many others.....Well not really. Our hares of the day were Miss Piss and Just Tacey who braved the weather to lay the marks but cared not to go back on their own shitty trail again, as we had no sweeper. And as it was windy and snowy and cold those who got their on time cared not to wait for those who would inevitably show up late. A rather quick and informal chalk talk was done along with warnings and apologies that many of the marks were covered in snow. And so no later than 3:09 EST or 2:45 HST we were off. On! On!Trail followed in somewhat of a northerly direction following the good old Christina Creek, at least from what we thought we saw. Cousin It and Groper arrive just as we depart and are able to catch up sort of. As there was difficulty not so much in seeing the orange tainted flour but determining which was a check, a false or just a regular mark. The FRB's got to a few checks and what we presumed to be false trails. Bunions Bitch took a really long false on the wrong side of the river but eventually made it back to the middle, then the front of the pack. On! On!Trail continued to follow the same side of the creek then disappeared, than re-appeared again. We took the scary bend at one of the large drainage pipes then eventually got to the road where we found our hares over by the currently shuttered swimming pool parking lot for the beer near. We enjoyed our brews, well except for Bunions Bitch who just showed up to run that day, for a while and a while as we waited for the wankers ... I mean walkers to all catch up. Except of course, Do Me on the Beach and Magic Carpet Ride who just arrived at point A by this point. Soon enough we were off. On! On!We ran into a neighborhood for a while, attempting to detect marks somewhere beneath the 3 inches of snow. Here and there one was found then a check that stumped us for a while and a few locals riding on sleds seemed mighty interested in what this was about. After Pube and Bunions Bitch ran all the way up the Chestnut Hill, a general consensus was made that it likely went East, or to the right in the direction of where point A was waiting. On! On!Marks eventually were found and so were our hares, still warming their rears in that Chevrolet Tahoe of theirs, indicating to the FRB's that trail was to be found going back into the woods, but the DFL's got not the word and found their way back onto Chestnut Hill road and took their left their. On! On!Marks were found going down the trail and through the woods and back to the parking lot of the park. With ... I dunno ... take a wild guess finishing first, and Bunion Butt finishing last ... no it turned out later that Bunions Bitch did that for he decided to keep running for a while. Miss Piss goes out to search for the late cumming Do Me On the Beach and Magic Carpet Ride, prompting those two to appear immediately after she left the parking lot. And so we had time to pour the down-down beers whilst waiting for Miss Piss to turn around and come back. And as we were RA-less for the day, our GM PubeHeAteHer was urged to take a crack at running circle for the first time. Circle was opened. Awards and penalties were dished out. Songs were sung. Headgear once or twice was forgotten to be removed in time. The hares drank several times as did I think everybody there did as there was a surplus of beer. Bunions Bitch arrived after his run just as circle was almost done. And the crowning achievement of the day was the naming of Just Tacey to Snow-Ho-Ho in what was one of the quickest consensus of namings I have ever witnessed. And we all pelted her with snowballs to celebrate the occasion. Announcements were made and Dead End did the duty of the absent Woody and led the hash to get a piece. And so we adjourned for the Apres to one of our favorite spots On the Rocks, but found to our great dismay that they were not open. So instead we went back the other direction to the abode of Miss Piss, who hastily set everything up. And so there we enjoyed some fine tacos and taco fixings, along with cupcakes made by Wet Lay which we enjoyed with our beer while watching a little football on the tube.
