Who Hare: Wetter the Better and Asshopper What Else: BRING A CHAIR, rain jacket, dry bag, lots of bug spray, headlight. Apres is outside. Why: Asshopper made it around the sun another 365 times! Hash Cash: $7 Friendlies: Dogs are discouraged but may be ok on leash. D'erections: From I-95, take Exit 1 for Route 896 N/Newark. Stay right and at the 2nd light, take a right JUST AFTER W Chestnut Hill Rd. The AFTER is a jug-handle to go across, there is no left turn lane at the light. On W Chestnut Hill Rd take the 3rd Right and go to the end. Folks coming N on I-95 can get off an exit early and save the toll and make their way to Rt. 896 South and turn right on W Chestnut Hill. | Trash for Hockessin Hash #1416So the slobbering pack gathered up at the house at cul du sac at the end of Art Lane, Newark De on the fine warm early evening of August the 25th, 2021 for the annual Asshopper Birthday trail.Hashers I remember being present at some point included: Dirty Wet Pussy, Skidmarks, Lost Penis, Devil Woman, Buttlite, Groper, Do Me on the Beach, Circle Jerk, Mary Fucking Poppins, Poke’mon Ho, Perfect Woman, Weird Al, Closing Time, F-6, 7th Hole, Purple Haze, Bag of D’s, Woody, Dancing Fool, Wet Lay, Bunion Butt, Spunk Monkey, PubeHeAteHer, NecroFeelMeUp, Porta Ho, Just Fabio, and probably a few others. Our hares and hosts of the day were once again the Birthday Boy Asshopper and his partner in crime Wetter the Better, who was again busy getting ready for us some tasty grub to enjoy later.And so we enjoyed ourselves for a whiles in the driveway having a few brews and hoping that Buttlite who was stuck terrible, terrible rush hour in traffic would arrive soon enough with the rest of the hash beer, as she got stuck being beer meister the week before.Eventually we gave up waiting for that to work out on time and Asshopper began the chalk talk. Told us to look for white flour marks which he may have laid up to 12 hours earlier. We were told to expect a check back and one beer stop. And soon enough we were off.On! On!Asshopper indicated the general direction of the first mark was out towards the cul de sac and that took us immediately into Rittenhouse Park where a mark or three were found taking us over the bridge going over the Christina Creek where we witnessed a few Blue Gills frolicking about.On! On!A check and a few false trails were found here and there. But trail took us eventually in the general direction of Chestnut Hill Road where we found another check and true trail that led us to South College Avenue.On! On!Marks or what we thought were marks led the FRB’s, which at the time consisted of Skidmarks, Dancing Fool, and yours truly MFP to the field behind the elementary school, but our sweeping hare Wetter the Better knew better and pushed the pack towards more of the right direction going behind Mad Mac’s and Mickey D’s.On! On!Marks or what we mistook for marks led us behind Jersey Mikes sub shop and then into the neighborhood next to Robscott Manor. Then into the little patch of woods and shiggy and into Robscott Manor.On! On!At this point most of the pack got exceptionally confused going this way and that then back then onto and underneath the little bridge over the little creek in Robscott Manor thinking there might be a mark there that might have meant beer near.On! On!The pack split into several groups only one of which was actually on the trail and actually made it to the beer stop. Though the rest of us got some pretty interesting scenery including some antique autos and a heart shaped sculpture and a resident who was watering his lawn and willing to hose off a few overheated hashers.On! On!Some of the pack went this way and some of the pack went that way, finding what we thought was trail taking us back to South College Avenue then up Christina Parkway then back into Asshoppers neighborhood or back into Rittenhouse park and back to the On In.One by one by two the hashers made there way back from this way or that, with the small but proud group who found the beer stop finishing last.Eventually our RA for the day Skidmarks opened up a relaxed style circle with most of us sitting in our chairs the whole time. Awards and Penalties were dished out. Songs were sung. Down Downs were done. Our hares and there several stunt livers drank several times. After much debating Circle Jerk I believe got credit for first in and Purple Haze for last. Our interruptus drank. Our Autohashers drank. And this included not only Buttlite, but Porta Ho and Just Fabio. And right as circle was about to end, Necro and Pube showed up just in time to drink a few times for being too busy doing the rock star thing to hash lately. Several other hashers drank for several other things including birthdays that included Asshoppers as well as Portaho’s.After announcements were made and the hash went in peace we enjoyed some fine fine build your own taco option along with a few other tasty items including another wonderful chocolate cake baked by Wetter. As well as some leftover Caproittis Sandwiches courtesy of Spunk Monkey, some chips courtesy of Dancing Fool and some fruits of the garden courtesy of Wet Lay and Bunion Butt.
